You bust your ass all year, pay full taxes on every dollar... meanwhile Amazon pays ZERO some years, Jeff Bezos & Elon Musk pay almost nothing on billions in wealth growth.
It's not a conspiracy β it's LEGAL.
Buy. Borrow. Die. Unrealized gains. Corporate loopholes.
This episode rips the trunk open: why the system lets wealth walk free while workers bleed, and the no-BS fixes (VAT + net worth tax) that could fund Medicare for All without screwing the middle class.
If you're tired of the rigged game, this will make you angry... then motivated.

(Part 3 of 25 Government Fixes Tree β the uncomfortable truth series)
You have spelled out the problems and the logical solutions. How do we have the people in legislative positions read these solutions and implement them?
This series explaining what actually has been happening for decades needs to be sent to every person in this country.
Would news stations state these facts ?
The cult followers and the illiterate MAGA crowd needs to read this!!!
To your two real questions. No, cable news won't run these facts as written.
A VAT explainer doesn't have a villain with a face, and villains with faces are what get ratings. That's not a conspiracy, it's the exact mechanism covered in the piece on why forgetting became the business model. Structural policy loses to outrage every single time it competes for attention.
Getting legislators to act requires what every fix in this series requires: sustained local pressure that outlasts the news cycle, and a coalition wider than one party's base. A VAT plus a net worth tax isn't even a left idea, mechanically it's closer to Steve⦠it's closer to Forbes than Bernie Sanders. If it only circulates inside one tribe's group chat, it dies there.
Which is the one thing I'd push back on. Calling half the country an illiterate cult guarantees they never click the linkβ¦. Anybody can be fooled by politicians in this countryβ¦ but everyone wants corporations to pay more than the minimum wageβ¦ The whole premise here is that the people getting fleeced by this tax code span both sides of that divide. "Read this, idiots" doesn't travel. "Read this, you're getting robbed too" does.
Send it to someone who disagrees with you. That's the version that actually moves something.
And yes everything I do you could vet very thoroughly and it would be printed.
It's more of a matter of the corporations that own these media companies not wanting it to get out
Thank you so much for restacking my post

I just can't. It's all so maddening.
