Listen up, because I’m pissed off and I’m not holding back. You’ve been fed this crap narrative that SNAP—yeah, food stamps—is some inner-city handiout for “those people,” lazy folks gaming the system. Bullshit. Total, utter bullshit. Listen up.

Right now, 41.7 million everyday Americans—your neighbor, your coworker, the cashier at Walmart, the veteran down the road—are one missed paycheck from empty cupboards. That’s 12.3% of the entire country. And the only thing keeping their kids fed is SNAP.

Average benefit? $188 a month per person.

That’s not steak and lobster. That’s peanut butter, rice, and whatever’s on sale.

If you still think this is an “inner-city minority program” for lazy people scamming the system, you’ve been lied to your whole life. Let’s burn those lies down with facts—once, clean, and in order—so you can repeat them to every uncle at Thanksgiving who starts ranting about “welfare queens.”
